“What a mess,” Severus declared, inspecting the house. “Throwing a bonding party was a mistake.”
“We had to have one,” Harry chuckled, sidling up to Severus. “People expected it.”
“Since when do we act as others expect?” Severus growled.
“Since we decided to make each other honest men,” Draco murmured, moving to Severus’ other side.
Severus sighed. “There’s a lot of leftover food,” he said, popping a chocolate truffle into his mouth.
“Yes,” Draco purred. “Let’s finish it...together.”
Later Severus had to admit that he’d entertain the idea of another party if they all ended with him as dessert.
