Thon Reveals!

alisanneIn case you may have missed it, the Snarry-a-Thon posted their reveals today, which means I can now claim my two small contributions to this fabulous fest. :)
I wrote Winning is Everything (you can read it on IJ, LJ or DW) and I also wrote Tying the Knot (IJ, LJ, DW). Reposts will come soon.
As usual, I have thinky fest thoughts, which I shall put under a cut to spare my Flist.
So Winning is Everything was a story I've started several times and finally managed to finish for this fest. It was interesting for me to see how much my writing style had changed over even the years since I started it.
When I go back and recover snippets and ideas from the vault I find myself rewriting the majority of them because my thought processes have changed so much. Do the rest of you find that, too?
As an aside, I can't tell you how many times I've tried to finish a fic I originally started for the last (cancelled) Snarry FQF. I may just have to admit that I never will. *sigh* Despite how much I like the concept. Despite how much I adore the art on which it's based. This is tough for me since I HATE giving up. Oh well. Maybe one day I'll just post what I have and call it done.
I had an easier time with Tying the Knot happily. That was a fabulous prompt which my muse immediately grabbed and ran with. Although, as always, I had about 4 other prompts that caught my eye that I 'stored' in my vault. So much for getting stuff out of it. :P

I know I promised more recs from this fest, and I still plan to do them, it may just take me some time since life's a bit crazy at the mo.
