While decorating, Teddy spread tinsel over everything. “Sorry about this,” Remus murmured as Felicity ushered Teddy away for pumpkin juice. “I know you like an orderly space--”
Severus shrugged. “It’s the holidays. It’s too much to expect orderly decorating from a child.”
Remus smiled, and, as they were still holding hands, tugged Severus closer. “Thanks. He really wanted to do this for you so--”
Their lips were almost touching when someone cleared their throat. “The clinic’s slow today,” Felicity said. “Take Teddy home and I’ll lock up.”
Severus hesitated.
“Shall we?” whispered Remus.
Finally, Severus nodded.
Felicity beamed. “Happy Christmas.”

“Would you stay for tea?” Remus said once at his flat. “Andromeda made enough for an army since she’s visiting Narcissa today.”
Severus inclined his head. “All right.”
Tea was a raucous affair, with Teddy clearly excited about Severus’ presence, and it took Remus ages to get him calm enough for bed. When he returned from tucking Teddy in, Severus was standing by the Christmas tree.
Remus smiled. “You’ve tinsel in your hair,” he said, moving up beside Severus.
Severus chuckled. “How could I not?”
Remus laughed and, leaning in, kissed him. “Stay tonight?” he whispered against Severus’ mouth.
“Yes.”
