Potterversecon day 3

Time for my day 3 Potterversecon wrap up post!
Day 3 was also gorgeous, and since nothing really started until noon, we went across the street again to the Cheesecake Factory and had lemon ricotta pancakes (I had mine with eggs and bacon). Mmm.

We then headed back to the con and went to "Jumpstarting the Muse", another excellent presentation.
After a third swing through the vendor room (where I bought a Weasley Clock, eee! I'll share pics when it arrives), we went to the talk featuring all the actors, and
torino10154 will be pleased to know, Sean Biggerstaff was sweet, and even spoke about how much he adored Alan Rickman (didn't we all? *sigh*).
That was the official end of the con, so we checked out, gathered our stuff, packed up the Deltamobile™, and went back for the feedback session.
The con committee were, happily, VERY open to feedback, and my impression is that they are definitely on board with having another Potterversecon.
I really think we can make this into a fun fandom con, y'all. So I want you all to think about attending next year.
The programming this year was light, but one of the suggestions we made was for an adult track, and to that end I think if we propose some slashy programming, they'd be on board.
Anyway, please consider it. <3
And finally, here's my attempt to share some random con pictures and pictures of some of my loot.
Potter nesting dolls:

The actors at lunch:

Wrist dragons:

I found some fantastic beasts!

Snarry plushies!

I bought two new wands!

(One day I'll have to post a pic of ALL my wands)
OTP stickers:

Tea towels:

Slytherin hair bows:

Assorted earrings:

Also, could our hotel location have been any more PERFECT?

Clever Slytherin shoes:

Anyway, all in all, I'd say it was a success for a first con. Especially since they were expecting maybe 1500 and got 3000! *g* I'm hoping they're more prepared next year for the phenomenon that is Harry Potter fandom. <3

Date: 2017-09-17 03:42 am (UTC)I hope we can really make the next one much more slash-forward. I bet we can if enough of us go. <3
And yeah, I'm not a heels person at all, but those shoes were adorbs! <3
