Your weekly posts always cheer me up, dear. . .and don't we need it after this week? Seriously, Trump gets more dangerous and destructive by the hour. How can his supporters not see that if he will be behave this way (refusing to accept the results of a fair legislative process, being vindictive and anti-Constitutional) about some things, he'll be that way about all things. . .including whatever things his supporters want? The only thing that worries me more than Trump is the even more dangerous people who are pulling his puppet strings: they are no less immoral and destructive, but they're savvier and less unstable. They'll do more damage in the long run.

Meanwhile, I am enjoying your links. Got 32 on the history and 100% of the grammar (those things always make me nervous, English teacher that I am :))

I haven't watched Discovery yet (waiting to do so with my partner over Thanksgiving; you may or may not know that we met in a ST:Voyager chat room). But I'm looking forward to it!

"They'll do more damage in the long run."

That's unless Trump nukes us all first, of course.

Ooh, I really like those statements about faith from scientists. Yes! We need more of that. How are you liking the new Star Trek? I just saw the first two pilot episodes (I think they were meant to go back-to-back?) and I'm cautiously interested.

You have now ruined ST:D for me now! Or maybe made it much better? We'll have to see :)

Loved the big straw animals. They really are amazing. The pie crusts are so pretty, it's almost a shame to have to cut into them. I really appreciated the hairy lady article. I'm on board with that! I am so tired of having to shave, that I stopped and just let my legs go natural and my underarms may be the next to follow suit :P

I love your weekly posts!
Got 100% on the grammar test :)
Also, hee on the connection between HP and ST:Discovery. Whilst i'm stil reserving judgment on how well Discovery fits in with Star Trek in generally, I'm definitely intrigued by it and by Lorca. Especially be Lorca.

Yeah, Discovery would be a total win if it wasn't claiming to be ST.

Couldn't agree more. If it were any scifi series I'd love it to bits. As it is I enjoy watching it, drool over Lorca and postpone judgement on the whole ST thing.

Also, now there's a little plot bunny hatching in which Hermione introduces Lucius to Muggle scifi and he starts to fantasise himself as a mysterious bad-ass captain... <3
