I continue to slowly catch up on my reading so I come to you with a couple more recs from hd_holidays and Snarry art from the Snarry Swap.

This features a slowly evolving relationship based on gradual trust and admiration and some truly spectacular and three dimensional OCs. The magic is imaginative and well though out, and Narcissa Malfoy is brilliant. Also? Harry's Animagus form is one of the best I've seen. Another one I've found myself returning to over and over.

'Twixt the Sun and Sward by novembersnow.
29,800 words, R, Harry/Draco.

I have such a soft spot for de-aged Harry stories. *cuddles Harry* I love Draco's slow evolution from a proud, broken man to an open, warm person who clearly cares for ickle!Harry. *hugs them both* And there are Dr Who references! *glee* Although don't worry if you don't get those, this story stands very well on its own.

Gorgeous, sensual, ethereal art with a very effective use of color. The tender, loving expressions on their faces made me melt.

Plotty, delicious, slightly angsty, VERY hot fic featuring a long-suffering Severus and an adult!Harry who definitely knows what he wants and how to get him it. All the UST and yearning was especially yummy, particularly since it pays off in spades with some fabulous smexing and a wonderfully happy ending.

So, I'm sure you're all aware of my talented friends. But let me show you just how talented they are!

First, torino10154 wrote me a gorgeous holiday ficlet called Out With The Old, In With The New which is a lovely getting together Snarry with Snarry dancing! *glee* It's part of the set of ficlets she's writing for me as part of the help_japan fundraiser (I've mentioned them before, but I evidently forgot to tag the post and can't locate it atm). Anyway, this is a fabulous addition to the collection, and if interested, you can check out the entire set of (unrelated) ficlets HERE. Thank you, sweetie! *loves*

Then, the always fun leela_cat wrote me a quadruple drabble because I successfully guessed four of her submissions in the H/D LDWS a while back. She wrote me Eye of the Beholder, which is based on the PIA prompt I gave her (glamorous). Heh. She did a masterful job with it, as I knew she would. It's awesome, bb! Thank you so much! *glomps*

And then, as I was scrolling my Flist this afternoon, I discovered that the uber-talented veridari drew me some absolutely luscious Snarry called Warm in the Snow. I'm not sure I can even do it justice with a description, except to say, I LOVE Harry's ARSE! Well, and Severus' treasure trail. And they way they are holding each other. And... Yeah, just go look and drool with me, k? Darling, thank you, thank you! *smooches*

I am glad someone warned me to read this over my lunch hour since, if I hadn't, I'm sure I would have been starving by the end because of all the loving food descriptions. :) Great story with a unique premise (I know! In a cliche fest!) and well developed characters. Even the supporting cast were well fleshed out and three-dimensional. Fabulous story. Go read it now.

Joyride by Anon.
NC-17, 21,000 words.

Gorgeously rich in detail, with two of the more unique professions I've seen for either Severus or Harry, this is really delightful (and VERY sexy). Beautifully written!

Severus is a stubborn git (so what else is new?) but somehow Harry manages to out-stubborn him. Gorgeous, poignant, emotional story with a happy ending, despite the ride the author takes us on.

I admit I've written prolly more than my share of clueless!Harry, who I adore, but this Harry, with his artistic soul and inventive charms and intelligence is one I'd love to see more of. And the sex scene is sizzling.

Pushing Buttons, Equal Measure and Balance of Power By Anon eeyore9990 (that sneaky devil!)

These really should be read/taken all together since they are clearly connected. Harry launches the first salvo in 'Pushing Buttons' by cheekily trying to tempt Severus into breaking. Severus, being himself and a Slytherin, nurses the grudge and finally returns fire in 'Equal Measure', giving Harry more than he could have imagined. But Harry isn't a Gryffindor for nothing and he repays Severus in very sexy spades. A luscious series.

The Chronos Factor By Anon starduchess

I'm not sure I have words enough to describe this one. This is a truly stellar piece of writing that took a lot of work and courage to attempt and the author succeeded brilliantly. Harry is living his life backwards, Severus is not. And yet this is a gorgeous love story. Just...trust me and read it.

Yes, for those who are worried, there is infidelity, and while this is not fluffy, it is very gritty and real and oh so hot. Severus and Harry encounter each other at Draco's wedding and find they have a lot in common, not just Draco. And I love the hint of more Snarry to come at the end.

In a rather interesting twist on the 'healing cock' trope, Harry is dying and only sex with Snape will save him. Snape, of course, makes it memorable and Harry wants more, but Snape's defenses get in the way. All I can say is thank goodness for Gryffindor determination. :)

I held my breath through reading this story, it was just that beautiful. This is a look at the Snarry relationship through the eyes of a very mature Ron, who only wants to see his best friend happy. I've read it twice already and am contemplating a third read, it's just that good. It's one of those fics I wish I had written.

While I'm scarfing down lunch I thought I'd point you to a couple of lovely things on my Flist.

One: The fabulous and very prolific enchanted_jae wrote me a sexy H/D fic with a killer last line (as always)! It's called How could I forget? and you can read it either on LJ or IJ.

Two: The amazing artistic prodigy veridari was apparently inspired by my latest daily_deviant submission, and she drew A Life of Its Own. I have to tell you, you should prolly clear any liquids away from your computer before you click since it is so very fabulously wrong. *g*

Now on to the recs.

Three: Speaking of daily_deviant, the fabulous iamisaac wrote a clever, sexy and hilarious fic this month, Anatomically Impossible, that you really should go and read. It's Trio fic, yes, but it's the Trio the way it should be done, with humor and fun and a spot on Ron "voice".

Four: HP Beholder has started posting and the first few pieces are stellar. The ones I am particularly fond of are:

Unspoken (Art, Severus/Minerva, G), a strikingly gorgeous piece in which the feelings the characters have for each other are crystal clear, not needing to be spoken (hence the title, I imagine). The colors are perfect and I want Severus' robes and Minerva's boots. *G*

Escape Routes for a Stormy Night (Fic, Amelia Bones/Poppy Pomfrey, ~5600 words, R) in which the author paints an absolutely fascinating picture of Amelia and her life and work and loves, The details of Auror intelligence training were well done, as was the action bits, which kept me on the very edge of my seat for the entire story. Quite brilliantly done.
